Fa La La La La I love my wreath

My home is looking mighty Christmas-like!  I just finished a few projects and can't wait to show you all of them!  The first is a lovely wreath I made with leftover fabric and scraps I had lying around the house.  I made this baby for a whopping $6 - $2 for the wreath base and $4 for the styrofoam ball cores.  You can't even buy custom ornaments for that price!!!  I've seen similar wreaths in high end boutiques for around $300, so I'm pretty happy with the results!  It was also one of the quickest, easiest projects ever!  Just wrap and hot glue.  That's pretty much it.

If you've been reading my twitters, you'll know I have had quite the time with the felt garland DIY project for my tree.  All in all, I spent about 12 hours making felt and ended up with a little over 50 balls.  I was devastated.  OK maybe not devastated (the drama queen is coming out in me), but definitely a little frustrated.  I ended up buying the garland from one of my favorite spots (more on that later), but those balls are GOLD to me now, so I made sure to use them everywhere I could.  You'll see them pop up again in the next few posts in other decorations.

Sing it with me. Fa la la la la...I love my wreath!

PS Thanks to April for helping me with two of the wrapped balls on this wreath.  She is quite crafty as well and did the bottom two larger balls.  She did a fantastic job!

  2. Hey Melissa! I found the frame at Hobby Lobby for just a few dollars. It's a straw wreath wrapped in plastic. The plastic wrapping may have been for packaging purposes, but I just kept it on and wrapped everything around that! Good luck with yours. When you finish, send me a pic and I'll post it on the blog!
